I am an experienced child and adolescent therapist and supervisor who is passionate about helping young people to help themselves; and enabling those around them to create the best possible environment in which that can happen. Each young person is unique, and I tailor my skills to their needs using a flexible and compassionate approach. Most importantly, offering the young person time, space and complete acceptance - so that they are able to make sense of their feelings and develop their own coping strategies.

I provide a safe, non judgemental and friendly space, enabling a young person to explore their thoughts and feelings; taking time to work through any challenges they may be facing.

In this process I work integratively, drawing upon my broad training skills. By adapting and listening to the needs of the client, I may take elements from Cognitive behavioural therapy, Habit reversal therapy, Dialectical behaviour therapy, Play Therapy and Sand story therapy; allowing me to work intuitively with the needs of the young person.

Working with the families and support services around the young person is also key to my practice. I provide coaching for parents, carers and child-centric organisations. I have extensive experience of working with schools and youth centres, senior leadership teams, individual teachers and key workers, to ensure the young person and their families are fully supported. I also work with external services such as CAMHS, Social Services, Educational Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language teams.

Working with parents and carers I also offer a bespoke coaching programme. Whether it is a stand alone session or more structured, consistent support you are looking for; taking time to reflect and listen to the issues and concerns you may be facing, we discuss strategies and develop skills to best support your needs, together.

As an experienced and qualified child and adolescent therapist I am a registered member of the BACP,  and a member of ACTO with extensive training to further support young people in CBT, DBT, Habit Reversal Therapy, Adoption, Online Counselling, Play Therapy, Sand Therapy and the Incredible Years parenting programme. I also hold a Certificate in online and telephone counselling. I have an enhanced DBS, attend regular supervision and I continue to further my skills with appropriate CPD.

Outside of my practice I currently volunteer for Smartworks and the Kings Trust, having previously volunteered for Tourette's Action. I have a keen interest in the arts. I enjoy being in nature, whether it be walking or body boarding in the sea.
